A compressor photo can start a conversation, but it should not finish the quotation. Two compressors may share a similar housing and still differ in pulley, clutch, electrical connector, mounting points, hose ports, displacement or control method. If the supplier quotes from appearance alone, the uncertainty is transferred to the buyer.
For importers and distributors in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, a structured request for quotation reduces three risks at once: wrong fitment, incomplete repair scope and a price that cannot be compared fairly with another offer.
A message such as “Need this compressor—best price?” often omits the vehicle version, engine, OE reference, quantity and failure condition. The supplier may identify a visually similar unit but cannot reliably determine whether the connector, pulley or internal specification matches. The buyer may also receive a price for a bare compressor while another quotation includes service parts, creating a false price comparison.
Provide make, model, model year, engine and VIN when available. Regional versions can differ, so “Toyota compressor” or even a model name alone is not sufficient.
Send every readable number, but label its source: original vehicle number, compressor-manufacturer number, supplier number or market cross-reference. Do not combine them into one unverified list.
Include the complete label, pulley face, rear head and ports, connector, mounting ears and any control valve. Photographs support identification; they do not replace the OE and application evidence.
Confirm whether the application uses a thermal expansion valve or orifice tube where known, and whether the moisture-control part is a receiver drier, accumulator or condenser-integrated element.
State whether the compressor leaked, became noisy, seized, lost output, suffered clutch or control failure, or produced contaminated oil. The failure condition affects which related parts and repair procedures should be considered.
Include quantity, destination, target order timing, packaging or brand requirements, and whether the request is for a sample, trial order, stock order or repeat program. Do not ask a supplier to infer a wholesale requirement from one photo.
Mark information as confirmed, customer-provided, cross-reference only or still pending. This simple discipline prevents a possible match from becoming a claimed guaranteed fit.
Quotation label | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
Confirmed requested item | Identity and requirement are supported | Compressor matched to confirmed OE and application |
Required by stated repair procedure | Buyer or applicable technical procedure confirms replacement | Receiver drier/accumulator after the system is opened for the defined repair |
Recommended for inspection | Related to the failure but not yet proven defective | Expansion valve after contamination or unstable metering is suspected |
Conditional replacement | Needed only if inspection confirms a condition | Condenser that cannot be cleaned after severe contamination |
Optional stock item | Commercial range addition, not mandatory for this repair | Related reference requested for warehouse coverage |
DENSO’s compressor guidance shows why this distinction matters: the parts replacement and flushing decision changes according to oil condition, additives and contamination. A universal parts list is less accurate than a condition-based quotation.

Check whether the price covers the same compressor specification, clutch or pulley configuration, control valve, packaging, quantity, testing documentation and related parts. Confirm whether freight, duties and destination charges are included under the stated trade term.
A lower price for an unverified photo match is not directly comparable with a quotation based on OE and application review. Likewise, a package price should not be compared with a bare-unit price without separating the components.
Elecdura helps importers, distributors, wholesalers and professional automotive-parts buyers source and validate cooling and A/C parts from China. The process starts with requirement alignment: references, applications, quantity, market and packaging. Product and supplier routes are then reviewed, relevant samples and details can be checked, and confirmed information is retained for repeat orders.
Elecdura does not treat a compressor photo as complete fitment evidence. The quotation should show what is confirmed and what still requires verification. When a receiver drier, expansion valve or condenser is discussed, it should be identified as a confirmed requested part, a procedure-based requirement, a conditional recommendation or an optional range item.
Manufacturing is carried out by the relevant production partners selected for each sourcing route. Elecdura coordinates the reference alignment, supply route, quality and packaging review, and repeat-order records.
Send the completed RFQ template with clear images and OE references. It gives both sides a stronger basis for an accurate offer and a more reliable long-term compressor range.
